After the writer’s strike paused the production of Mugging in the fall, no one was sure what would happen to the series. Then months into the strike, with no end in sight, the producers ordered a run of the British version of the series from IBS’s British counterpart, BBS.

With the writer’s strike over, work on the series has resumed. It is, however, at this point unclear if the series will continue the BBS run first or cancel it and return to the original series.
