Luftangus is the travel blog of me, Angus Woodman. I’m a web designer from Newfoundland, Canada.
It all started in 2008, when I had an unlimited flight pass for a month. I flew all over Canada. Then it carried on in 2009 when I picked up a weirder, limited flight pass and saw more of the US and Europe. Now it’s just about my travels in general.
My travel has generally been based around some simple philosophies:
- Not caring where I go
- Booking things as last-minute as possible
- Short stays. 4 days in a city is a long time ’round these parts
- Lots of flying. I do love airplanes
- Hosting CouchSurfers when at home
For the first couple years it was based around Air Canada flight passes, which help a lot with numbers 2 and 4. I also work a full-time job, which has a lot to do with 3.
CouchSurfing is a topic I haven’t yet explored here, but it’s fair to say it has changed my life. My CouchSurfing friend and I often refer life Before-CS and After-CS because that’s how big of an impact it has had.
Some posts or parts of posts may be in multiple languages, depending on what I’m learning at the time.
Countries I’ve been to more than just the airport of
North America: Canada, USA
Europe: Norway, England, France, Spain, Italy, Malta, Norway
