On the fourth day, Haroon was working so I spent the morning catching up on some sleep.
I met him and his friend Stephanie for dinner at Terroni, which had amazing food, non-sensical words over doorways and really morbid fake-mummy things hanging from the wall. And all I got was this picture:
I think I have to work on my picture prioritization.
After lunch, they went back to their respective workplaces and I headed to get a haircut. I found an old-timey barber shop where I got my mop chopped, my beard trimmed, and a straight razor shave on my neck. (At least, I’m hoping that’s what he was doing back there.) They also doused me in aftershave. Walking around afterwards I felt like, for the first time in life, an actual man.
As you probably haven’t noticed yet, I have my sister’s SLR with me this trip. Thinking I’d have a ton of downtime, I picked up a book on how to use it. (Do you see the things I do for you?)
Anyway, in the evening I went to a Second City show with Haroon, Cindy from Day 3 and an old co-worker, Andrew Crocker. I didn’t take any pictures because they would’ve been unsightly after we had laughed our faces off. (The show was a million times funnier that I ever have been.) At several points I was laughing so hard I feared death and had to turn away from the stage. If you are in, near or going to Toronto, go see them. Twice. (At least.)
We ended the night at Wayne Gretzky’s place where he made us nachos and wings. We didn’t met him though. I guess he spent all night in the kitchen. Oh well. Haroon has met him before anyway.
And so went my last full day in Toronto.
For further reading, I suggest learning how to pronounce Italian words so you can order in restuarants without looking like a git.
